Although the Phahonyothin region spans from the Victory Monument near Siam Square far into the northern suburbs, there isn’t much worth a mention until you get to the very north. The main attraction here is the Chatuchak Weekend Market (JJ for short), one of the world’s biggest markets and shouldn’t be missed when in Bangkok! Another really exciting thing to check out is the Muay Thai Boxing filmed at Channel 7 studios on a Sunday, a very action packed Thai experience! Both can be reached via the MRT (Chatuchak Park) or BTS (Mo Chit) trains. If you fancy escaping the heat with some indoor air-con entertainment, there's the amusing Art in Paradise gallery, where you can get inside the '3D' paintings.
