Dusit

Dusit is Bangkok’s royal district and is home to Dusit Palace Park, an impressive complex of Rama V’s European style palaces. You’d be forgiven for thinking you had left Thailand looking at some of these buildings. The area itself is quiet leafy suburbs, it’s not so popular to stay in as there aren’t a lot of tourist amenities here but that can be part of its charm. There are also no trains to this area, but there is a port for the Chao Phraya River boats nearby. Other notable attractions in the area are the marble temple of Wat Benchamabophit and Dusit Zoo.
