Sukhumvit
Home to the longest street in Thailand stretching from Silom to Cambodia, in fact it’s also one of the longest in the world. This affluent area contains some of the hippest malls, restaurants and bars in the city. The Thong Lor area is known for its hipster and socialite Thai crowds, and the area has a distinctly cosmopolitan feel. The area has a notable Japanese community with many Japanese restaurants around, including a mini-mall of Japanese restaurants on Sukhumvit 26. What most visitors find themselves here for is the go-go dancing Soi Cowboy area, and the even naughtier Nana Plaza. It’s fair to say this is more of a going out eating and drinking part of the city than to see tourist attractions, with many restaurants near the BTS line spanning from Nana to Thong Lo stations.
