Dusit Zoo

Dusit Zoo has a wide variety of animals kept in enclosures and most seem to be well kept but some of the conditions don’t look great. As it's in the middle of a city, the enclosures are restricted in size. The variety of wildlife here is good and includes lively meerkats, tigers, lions, elephants, flamingos, wombats, koalas, bears, monkeys, hippos and giraffes. There are elevated walkways to enjoy feeding the giraffes at arm’s length which is good fun, you can also feed the hippos too. There is a large lake in the middle where you can hire peddle boats (50B/hour) and daily animal shows (11:00am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm; adults/kids 30/10B). It’s a good place to get up close with animals and especially entertaining for the kids. The food court on-site serves Thai food at standard low prices, and there’s even a KFC.
