Borders with Thailand

Entering Thailand There are no departure fees to leave Cambodia as long as you have a valid visa. If you have overstayed it's not a big problem, just US$6 per day. If you are entering Thailand for tourism from any of the following countries by air or land, you can get a free 30-day visa on arrival - Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, UK and US. You must have six months left on your passport. You may also leave Thailand and re-enter as many times as you like up to a total of 90 days within six months. Many other countries are eligible for a visa-exempt stay with various conditions. Check out the Thailand page visa information section for full details. Border 1 - Hat Lek (Thailand) / Cham Yeam (Cambodia) - Open 6:00am - 10:00pm From the Cambodian side it's only a 10min drive from Koh Kong town centre to the border. You can get a moto for around $3 (100 baht), tuk-tuk for $7 (400 baht) or taxi for US$10, for the vehicle and all including the 1,400 riel toll. There are no direct bus services from Hat Lek Thai Border to major cities in Thailand. You need to take a minivan to/from the border to Trat Bus Station which connects to Bangkok, Pattaya, Chantaburi, Ko Chang, Ko Mak, Ko Kut and Ko Wai. The fare is 120 Bhat per person and journey is approximately 1 hour. There is an ATM in Hat Lek.
