Khao Kheow Open Zoo

A fun entertaining zoo where a lot of the animals are free to roam with some natural barriers and occasionally cages (when obviously required). This does enable you to get very close to the animals, and opportunities to feed them, so the place is loved by kids. You can hire golf carts and bikes to make your way around the zoo as it is spread across quite an area. They have many animals here such as elephants, tigers, giraffes, hippos, deer, zebra, rhinos, a butterfly garden and many more. They are also actively involved in various conservation projects and clearly have good intentions in the work they do. As a side note we haven’t included the nearby Sri Racha Tiger Zoo which has a pretty appalling history with animal welfare. Getting Here - It is 23km from Si Racha and will cost around 400B return in a tuk-tuk (40 min). Coming from Pattaya will cost at least 1000B return.
