Rum Tasting @ Koh Samui Rum

If you're looking for something a bit different, for a modest fee, you can head to a rum tasting session and try out some of the locally produced rum and flavoured syrups used in rum-based cocktails. Located in the south of the island, near the road junctions of Route 4170 and Route 4173, this rum distillery was originally opened in 2003. It was then taken over and substantially expanded by its present Belgian owner in 2013. Using newly imported equipment, the distillery makes excellent fruit rums in a variety of flavours, using local fruits and sugar cane from the North of Thailand. The distillery also has a restaurant, so you can either combine your rum tasting with a meal at the in-house restaurant or simply sip the fruity creations with a cup of expresso in their delightful garden.
